Food and Culinary Tours in Munich

On our own travels, we would always hit the street food markets or ask the locals for their favorite restaurants. We want you to have the same experience when you're in Munich!

We’re passionate about local cuisine. Think tasting Bavarian street food, digging into luscious cake in cozy cafés and clinking beer steins with your neighbors in one of the famous beergardens. If we find something on our way that you simply must see or taste, we will make it happen.

This is why we have created our food tours for you. Select from a variety of culinary tours, or select an add-on to extend your classic private walking tour.

A stroll through Viktualienmarkt

The Viktualienmarkt is the culinary heart of Munich and definitely worth a visit! It is famous for its wide range of fresh products. With their 140 stalls and booths, the butchers, bakers, fishmongers, delis and flower stands have made the market one of Munich's famous landmarks for over 200 years. Here, you will also find a charming traditional beergarden - you can't miss it, simply look out for the maypole next to it!

Viktua.. What?

"Viktualien" - what does it mean? "Victualia" is a derivation of the Latin word "victus", meaning something like "produce" or "food". It seems like, in those old times, Munich shoppers preferred a rather sophisticated term for their grocery shopping.
